Although the Midtown Neighborhood is a stereo-typical suburban neighborhood it defies a simple description. Bryant Street which is blocked for through car traffic at several intersections, is a city designated bike path, providing a straight path from Menlo Park almost to the Mountain View border, is probably the longest in Palo Alto. The Midtown Shopping Center is located on the busy Middlefield Road near the northeast neighborhood boundary provides a number of good shops.
