Real Estate Agent Designations
There are many possible designations a real estate agent can have. An experienced agent can have an alphabet soup following her name. Here are some of the most common in the San Francisco Bay Area:
- CRS = Certified Residential Specialist
- GRI = Graduate Real Estate Institute
- CIPS = Certified International Property Specialist
- CLHMS = Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist
- SRES = Senior Real Estate Specialist
- CBR = Certified Buyers Representitive
- SRS = Seller Representative Specialist
- RRS = Registered Relocation Specialist
- CRP = Certified Relocation Professional
- ALHS = Accredited Luxury Home Specialist
- e-Pro = "Internet" training approved by the National Association of Realtors
The most important are:
- Juliana Lee = the real estate agent you want to call
- MBA = Master of Business Administration
- LLB = Law degree
- KW = Keller Williams
- 650-857-1000 = The phone number to reach a great real estate agent
The accreditation an agent lists may not reflect their training. An agent often only lists only a few which they themselves feel are most meaningful. An agent must complete "continuing education" courses to renew their license. The courses can be chosen to yield another designation.
