It does not have a post office, library, nor telephone exchange. Residents wanting to visit a library go to nearby county operated libraries in Los Altos or Cupertino. Mail delivery and telephone services are provided from Los Altos.
The town's zoning requires a minimum lot size of one acre, setbacks from the property boundary, and easements for public pathways. There can only be one primary dwelling per lot. There is no multifamily housing.
