Why I Sell Homes

My family raised me to want to work with people. I began my career in banking with the expectation that it could be my lifetime career. I worked at several locations, and what turned out to be my last, was as a manger at a nationwide bank in downtown Palo Alto. However I had also dreamed of becoming a professional chef. I had studied at a culinary school and had thought about how and even if I could become one. While working at the bank I became familiar with Juliana Lee. She would come into the bank, and while talking on her phone, hand a pile of checks and paperwork over to whoever helped her, rarely saying much, rather just talking on her ever present phone. One day as I was finishing helping her, she finished her phone conversation, looked at me, and asked "Why are you working here?" It soon became apparent that while she was obsessed with her business it was never just with her phone conversation. She was constantly thinking business while interacting with others and considering how they might become involved with her business. She had been watching me for a long time and wanted me to become part of her team.

Philosophy

I became part of the Juliana Lee Team shortly after Juliana asked me to join her. I quickly saw how her team was very much like a family and that it cared about what they achieved for their clients. This even reminded me of memories of the joyful excitement gained from sports in my youth. Working closely with Juliana, our Juliana Lee Team became a wonderful way for me to do work helping people, and to do work which I could excel at. I instantly became passionate about real estate sales. Doing what I am passionate about is simply incredible. Am I as obsessed with business as Juliana is?

Even in my first year I helped sell more homes than 95% of active Silicon Valley real estate agents. Our unique team working together puts strength into every part of a real estate sale. Where I was inexperienced, Juliana and other team members were strong. After just five years I, had helped more families buy homes than the typical Silicon Valley real estate agent does in 20 years. After a few more years, I have gained more first hand experience than all but the most succesful agents gain in their entire real estate career. But I am part of Our Juliana Lee Team. Together we are much stronger than any single agent. We are all looking forward to doing much more and looking forward to helping you.

My achievements have led me to become the CPO (chief people officer) at JLee Realty. After working closely with Juliana representing sellers for several years, I have also transitioned to being our head listing agent and listing team manager.

What about my dreams of becoming a chef? At our team parties I jump in and cook up a storm. For me, a joyful life is helping people in meaningful ways.

Culture & Affiliations

I immigrated to California with my family at a young age. Having mostly grown up in Silicon Valley, I am a "California girl". Silicon Valley is a huge part of who I am. I grew up with American comedy, sports, and California's car culture. Are you wondering if a kitchen is ideal? Let's talk. However, my Chinese heritage and bilingual ability give me and my clients an advantage. I grew up surrounded by different viewpoints. I always looked for the best from each of them. Respecting and learning from the views of others both is and has been who I am. I always work towards what is best for my clients, and share knowledge that will be helpful to them. My previous work in banking keeps me attuned to both how to work with lenders (a very important part of a sale) and how to help my clients be aware of and understand the financial side.
