Stanford Neighborhood

The Stanford Neighborhood is not actually part of the city of Palo Alto. It is however nearly surrounded by the city, and thus people looking to live near Stanford often live in Palo Alto. The Stanford University land has housing which is sold to people who are closely tied to the university. When they sell their home they are obligated to sell it to people who are also closely associated with the university.
