Green Gables Neighborhood - Palo Alto

The green gables neighborhood, surrounding Embarcadero Road from Middlefield Road to U.S. 101 has several different tract-home developments. Towards the northwest are contemporary Eichler, ranch style Barret & Hilp, and several other builders' homes. On the south east side of Embarcadero were many older homes built in the 1920's which years ago were often painted white with green gables. Most have been replaced. The area is served by the excellent Duveneck Elementary School and has many families with school age children living here. My first home in Palo Alto was in this neighborhood.
