A Perfect Sunday: Two Hours Downtown California Ave

What to Do for two hours

Join me for a relaxing two-hour walk through downtown California during the Sunday farmers’ market — the perfect mix of light exercise, organic good food and fresh fruits..

From fresh seafood and organic vegetables to dates, olive oil, and every kind of mushroom, there’s something for everyone. Start with breakfast at Izzy’s  , then wander through 10+ coffee shops and two great grocery stores — Mollie Stone’s, Country Sun organic store. It’s also biking distance to Stanford, which makes this area even better for an active lifestyle.

Lunch can be super affordable too — $5 ramen or an $8 Japanese rice ball — or you can treat yourself like we did. My professor brother and I ended our walk at Terún Pizzeria with rigatoni beef pasta and pizza, because sometimes you treat yourself with extra love.Downtown living at its best: walkable, lively, delicious, and fun. Highly recommend for your next Sunday plan!
